Doc is coming back

Celtics coach Doc Rivers is coming back for one more run with the team and will honor the final year of his contract. Rivers announced his decision to come back in enought time to give free agents such as Paul Pierce and Ray Allen an answer to who as would be their coach in green next season. Multiple sources have also told ESPN.com's Andy Katz that Pierce plans on dealing with the Celtics to work out a new deal but will listen to other offers.

I still hold my point of view on Pierce. I would offer him the 20 million a year over the next three years and if he balks at it, let him go. This is the last summer to worry about a lack of talent on the free agent market. The Celtics could look at Joe Johnson, J.J. Reddick, Carlos Boozer and others to replace either Pierce and/or Allen to go with KG Perk and Rondo. The Celtics need a big man to replace Sheed and log some good minutes the first third of the season as Perk recovers from ACL surgery.

Pierce to opt out of contract

Sources have told ESPN.com that Celtic forward and captain Paul Pierce will excercise the early termination clause in his contract to become a free agent by the July 1st deadline.

By opting out, Pierce will forfeit next season's $21.5 million salary but becomes eligible to sign a new four-year deal with the Celtics worth a maximum of $96 million and can receive four-year offers from other teams worth a maximum $93 million.

It is unlikely Pierce would receive a contract longer than four years, because a fifth season would begin when Pierce was 37 and -- under the league's over-36 rule -- would have costly salary cap implications for any team signing him.

I personally think this a move by Pierce to draw attention to himself. The Captain was due 21.5 million this coming year while a new deal can only gain him 2.5 million more per year by the Celtics and that is assuming the team goes and offers him a max deal. It is a dumb situation that just makes the Celtics players in this free agent class. Do I think they will go get LeBron now? No. All I am saying is that between Rasheed, Ray Allen and Pierce coming off the books the Celtics now have a lot of cap room to play with. What is stopping Danny Ainge from going and getting Joe Johnson back? They could pay him less than Pierce and he is younger. Put him out there with Garnett, Perk(when back), Rondo, and two other solid free agents. That might be a better team than they had this year. You could even sign Ray back and go get a forward to replace Pierce. This could be a move Pierce regrets for the rest of his life. He showed up inconsistently in the playoffs and literally turned his back on Rondo one game before half. If I was Danny Ainge, I would seriously consider letting him go.

The Hockey East Season starts Saturday October 16th at Agannis Arena against UMASS. There is another exhibition game on Wed November 3rd against the Swedish U20 team which is more of a recruiting event for Parker more than the need of an exhibiton game 3 weeks into the season. Other notable games are as follows:

12/8 Wed night home game v Northeastern
1/21 home against BC

Looks like an exciting year with games scheduled out of conference and tournaments with teams such as Brown, Minnesota State,Harvard, Notre Dame, Holy Cross.

Should be a good season. GO BU!
Hopefully it ends with a conference title like this one on the way to a national title.

Warso's a Bruin (Someday, Maybe)

According to ESPN Boston yesterday, the Boston Bruins traded Vladimir Sobotka to the St. Louis Blues in order to acquire the rights to flashy rising junior defenseman at Boston University, David Warsofsky. Chiarelli specifically was quoted as saying that he'd like to leave the Terrier star in school for some more seasoning, he does really like the way he plays. Warso was originally a 4th-round pick in the 2008 draft (95th overall). I can't wait for the chance to keep seeing one of my favorite Terriers stay in the 617 as a pro. I think this is a great opportunity for Warsofsky, especially as a real local kid, and potentially an great low-risk, high-reward opportunity for the Bruins.

In more NHL draft news, another incoming freshman, Yassin Cisse, was drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers with the last pick in the 5th round. Hopefully he'll be a good complement to Charlie Coyle as well as other incoming and returning Terriers on the ice this season.

Draft Days

The past couple of days in the sports world have featured drafts from 2 different leagues, each with a local impact (obviously). On the NBA front, the Celtics took former Texas guard Avery Bradley in the first round, and former Notre Dame forward Luke Harangody in the second round. Bradley, who only spent 1 year with Texas before turning pro, averaged 11.6 points, 2.1 assists, 1.3 steals and only 1.5 turnovers per game with the Longhorns. He is considered one of the best defenders in this years draft class, and will most likely spend his time for the first couple of years backing up Rondo. The rap on this kid is that he can spot up shoot but cannot create his own shot through isolation or anything like that. The kid can clearly play though, as he was named ESPN's high school player of the year and the top prospect in the country his senior year in high school. Our guess is he will see minimal time backing up Rondo and perhaps as a back up shooting guard as well. Nothing superb, but he could develop into a good role player down the road. In the second round, the Celts took token white guy Luke Harangody. We are all pretty sure the only reason he was drafted is so we can have another white guy on the bench to keep the Irishmen happy...kidding. Kind of. Harangody averaged 22 points as a senior with the Irish, which is promising as the Celts need a big guy who can score. Unfortunately, Harangody is pretty undersized for a big guy - listed at 6-6 without shoes on. He also served as a bit of an offensive black hole on many Irish possessions, taking forced shots. On the upside, the kid loves to rebound and dive for loose balls, and hopefully can provide energy off the bench just like Big Baby has for the past couple years.

On to the NHL, where the Bruins had the second overall pick last night and took future All-Star Tyler Seguin. Seguin, who many considered to be a potential number 1 pick along with Taylor Hall, tied Hall for most points in the OHL this past season with 106. Seguin is touted for his versatility, as he can play both wing and center well. Seguin was also named the top North American draft prospect coming into the 2010 draft, so fuck you Oilers, Hall sucks. Also Seguin is 18 years old...I got a year on the kid and haven't done shit with my life...damn.

Another player taken in the first round is incoming BU freshman and Weymouth product Charlie Coyle. Coyle was taken by San Jose with the 28th pick in the draft, which kept in line with many predictions that he would be taken in the late first round. Coyle is the most recent in a line of BU players taken in the first round, following players such as Colin Wilson, Kevin Shattenkirk, Ryan Whitney and Rick DiPietro. All of us here would like to congratulate Charlie on being drafted, and we are all greatly anticipating his impact in the coming years at BU...

Longest Tennis match in history suspended by darkness

The longest match in tennis history was suspended tonight due to darkness. Tied at 59-59 in the fifth set, the match was suspended after over 10 hours of play between American John Isner and Frenchman Nicolas Mahut. This is ridiculous that both can still stand up right now. It is a shame they didn't move it to Centre Court to finish it under the lights but it will be interesting to see who bounces back tomorrow.

Bye Bye Wideman...Warning: This trade makes no fucking sense

The Bruins began their team makeover today by sending streaky(to put it kindly) defenseman Dennis Wideman to the lowly Florida Panthers for disgruntled winger Nathan Horton and forward Gregory Campbell. The Bruins also sent the 15th overall pick in Friday's draft to Florida.

This trade doesn't make much sense at all. The Bruins trade Wideman to Florida. Ok. We receive Horton who can score. Ok. Receive the son of league discplinarian(Campbell). Ok. Then send the 15th overall pick to Florida? That makes no sense. Wideman and another later pick should have been enough to get those two players. Like the guy asked to be traded aka trade value goes down. (The reason why the Patriots won't trade Logan Mankins). Bruins GM Petey Chiarelli just gives away the 15th overall pick after declaring he was looking to move it earlier this week. I don't get this. The Bruins need more help than just Seguin or Hall. You need that 15th pick to get a defenseman still. There is talk we will now move back into the first round by dealing one of centers to make room for Seguin if Hall goes first overall to Edmonton. Just another puzzling move by the Bruins. In better news, we got rid of this schmuck.

and got this one

Take that L.A.

Sox swept Manny and the Dodgers just as the great quackquack predicted. L.A. is back to their ways of sucking. Hey you may win rigged NBA Championships but we win meaningless series in June so ha. Suck it L.A.

Friday, June 18, 2010

That sucked

Ok someone needs to tell Kobe and the Lakers to stop living in the past. You won the title like five minutes ago get over it already. The Sox are going to rape Manny and the Dodgers this weekend and at least we have a football team. Stupid sons of bitches. Hey Gasol, how did Spain do in their match yesterday? Yeah suck it. Go America. They're going to rape Vuyajic's(SP?) Slovenia tomorrow. The only good thing to ever come out of LA is CTU and Jack Bauer. LA sucks. They don't evne have real fans just a bunch of stars who shell out 55K for courtside seats. I don't know why I care anyway. The NBA is rigged. Everyone knows that. Hence, it is 4th out of the 4 major sports.

Izzo tells Cavs "This is Sparta!!!!!"

Michigan State coach Tom Izzo has turned down the Cavs' coaching position and an opportunity to double his current salary from 3 to 6 million a year. Izzo cited a main reason as the unavailability to speak LeBron James and his plans for next season and beyond. Izzo kicked Cavs owner Dan Gilbert into his own pit of death by turning down the job as he was Gilbert's favorite for the postion.

James' uncertain future will make for a difficult decision for any prospective Cavs coach. He is unlikely to tip his hand publicly before free agency begins July 1.

For the past nine days, Izzo has been trying to decide whether to leave the place that has been his home since 1983 and jump to the NBA to perhaps make $6 million -- doubling his salary -- and possibly coach one of the best basketball players in the world.

Izzo readily admitted that the idea of coaching James was very tempting. His son, Steven, too, was intrigued by James.

In the end, he turned down the money for job security and ability to become a legend in East Lansing as he brings the Spartans to glory year after year.

Celts sucked tonight

The Celts sucked tonight. Got outhustled by the Lakers. That is embarrassing. Show some fight. Kobe is out there still trying to rape people up 30 someone pop him in the mouth so he stops complaining to the refs for once and make Derek Fisher actually fall instead of him flopping like a fish.

Mankins wants to be traded

Pats all pro offensive lineman Logan Mankins has said in a phone interview that he wants to be traded. Mankins is a restricted free agent this off-season and has until 11:59 et tonight to sign his tender of 3.26 million. After that point, the Patriots can reduce the tender to 1.54 million if they wish to do so. I wouldn't expect them to do since Mankins is clearly already pretty pissed.

Mankins said in the interview ""At this point, I'm pretty frustrated, from everything that's happened and the way negotiations have gone,I want to be traded. I don't need to be here any more." Everyone can see Mankins' point of view here as he deserves to be paid for his play and has always been a model citizen in New England. There also has been reports that he wants a similar deal to Saint guard Jahri Evans.

Evans, a Pro Bowl guard, signed a seven-year, $56.7 million contract with the Saints in May, a deal with an average annual value of just over $8 million.

The Boston Globe reported that, according to a league source, the Patriots' last offer to Mankins was worth approximately $7 million per season.

After reading these facts, Mankins just seems idiotic. He went on in the interview to say the Patriots broke their word on him and are awful human beings. You 're talking about eight million dollars in a 60 million dollar contract as the difference. The Patriots don't just give away that money especially with Tom Brady and Randy Moss in the final year of their contracts.

Mankins needs to shut up and take the money or sign the tender. His talk to the media just diminishes his trade value. If he really wanted to be traded, he should have made those demands quietly to the Patriots. He has no value now. We all know how it will end. Mankins will sign for 7.5 million per season with a bonus in there to cover the rest. Mankins needs to stop acting like the Patriots stopped all negotiations with him and whining to the media. I was just waiting for the Ty Law " I gotta feed my family" line from him. Shutup and play or the Patriots will offer you the 1.54 million reduced tender and play someone else all year.

Update- The Patriots sliced their tender offer to 53% of the original value down to 1.54 million. According to the Boston Globe, Mankins has had an offer that would pay him 7 million dollars over 5 years on the table for a significant period of time. I was right. Mankins was offered a fair contract that I am sure he could have counter offered at and had the Patriots consider it. He is being a drama queen now. The Patriots won't budge off the 7 million number now that he has gone to the media.

Kobe goes off...Celts still win to get to one win away from the Title

The Celtics straight up outplayed the Lakers tonight. It took 38 points by Kobe just to lose by 6. The Celtics were better defensively and more balance on the offensive end of the floor. The Big Four lead a balance scoring attack that picked apart the Lakers "defense". The Celtics didn't get much from the bench but the starters won the game. The Celtics will need to put together a similar effort to bring home the franchise's 18th championship on Tuesday or Thursday night.

U.S.A. tie the Redcoats on a freak goal

The U.S. tied England in the first match of the World Cup in Group C play. The 1-1 tie was a result of an English goal the 4 minute mark by Steven Gerrard. The U.S. tied the game up on the softest goal of all-time. English keeper Robert Green let a Clint Dempsey shot roll over his right arm and trickle into the goal to tie the game in 40th minute. The game remained tied to the end with a few chances for each team falling short in the second half. I don't know shit about soccer so I won't try to break it down further than that. Ill just leave you with this

Big Baby, Nate give Celts needed spark off the bench

Doc goes with Big Baby and Nate just played their asses off to take control of this game. Wow. Hopefully they can hold on now with the starters. Sit down for a little longer there Kobe the rapist.

That Was Rough

Did Derek Fisher just cry on national TV after going up 2-1 in this series? He does know they still have to win 2 more games to clinch the Championship, right? Christ. As if nobody thought the Lakers were soft before this.  Somebody get this guy a box of tissues and a copy of "The Notebook". Makes me sick.

Anyways, before Fisher's cryfest on national TV, he torched the Celtics in the 4th quarter single handedly. With Kobe building houses shot by shot, Fisher stepped in and somehow found a way to put the ball in the basket every time the Celtics got close to turning a corner in the 4th. And it isn't like Fisher had been dominant prior to the 4th quarter. No, he only had 5 points in the game until pouring in 11 in the 4th. Granted, the Celtics didn't lose the game in the 4th quarter. No, the game got away from us in the first half, when the C's decided to lay down and play dead as the Lakers went on a 32-8 run, effectively getting the crowd out of the game and the life out of the already lifeless Celtics.

But give the C's credit. They fought back in the 2nd half, cutting the Lakers lead down to 1 at numerous points - only to have Fisher answer back. I have to point a whole bunch of the blame for this loss elsewhere, however. Paul Pierce and Ray Allen were literally non-existant. Jesus Shuttleworth went 0-13 shooting, and although Paul Pierce ended up with 15 points, they came sporadically and usually untimely. The Celtics as a team also couldn't hit free throws for crap. Both Boston and LA had 24 free throw attempts - LA made 21(87.5%) and we made 16 (66%). As a team we need to be shooting much higher than 66% from the line in order to win.

I'd also like to point to my last post about refereeing - as the refs dictated Game 3 as well. LA only had 20 personal fouls called against them, while Boston had 27. That's a big difference in an NBA finals game, especially when the calls are coming at crucial points (Ray Allen's "offensive foul" in th 4th when we had a chance to take the lead). Plus, KG and Pierce had to play limited minutes due to foul trouble. With the kind of game KG was having, we needed him on the court, but the refs took him out of play quickly.

So Game 4 is coming up on Thursday. I think the questions that need to be asked are these - 1.) Which Celtics team will show up - the one that can score and get crucial stops, or the one we saw last night, and 2.) How will the refs decide to screw the game for one side. I'll be back after Game 4 to let you know how those questions got answered...

Are the NBA Playoffs Rigged?

(Donaghy and the Rapist)

Don't jump down my throat for writing this post. I just think that it has become apparent to just about anybody who has watched 5 minutes of these playoffs that the refs are playing as big if not a bigger role than the players. Now, I'm not trying to imply that playing good basketball, tough defense and effective offense are no longer necessary to win games. I'm just saying that refereeing can take an otherwise even game and make it lopsided. Anyways, let's check the stats.

During the 09-10 regular season, the Celtics averaged 22.1 personal fouls a game. During the 2010 playoffs, they have averaged 25 (24.9) personal fouls a game. That doesn't seem too significant until you break it down by series - in the first round, the Celtics averaged 18.1 personal fouls per game. That's a full 7 fouls off the playoff average. Against the Cavs in the Conference Semis, that number went up a full 9 fouls to 27.2 per game. Are you telling me that the Celtics played less physically against Miami? Please. Now I'd give you a little write up of the Magic series but the guys over at Bleacher Report did a better job than I possibly could. Read Up.

Now this brings us to the Finals. So far, it has been another display in game-changing refereeing. In Game 1, both Ray Allen and Paul Pierce had 5 fouls - and they were called early and often. This rendered both players ineffective in the game, as they had to spend most of the game on the bench. Compare that to the Lakers - who only had Lamar Odom in foul trouble with 5 fouls. And it's not like Odom plays a big role now with Bynum and Gasol playing in front of him. In Game 2, Kobe Bryant got in foul trouble early and spent most of the game playing pretty soft as a result. This allowed Ray Allen to run free and pour in 8 three pointers, leading the Celtics to victory. In Game 3 (which just concluded), Garnett, Pierce, and Rondo were all in foul trouble from the outset, while Kobe had 0 fouls until midway through the 3rd quarter. Many of the fouls called against the Celtics were incredibly questionable, including many slight touch fouls (I'm thinking of a foul called on Rajon Rondo where he supposedly "hit" Kobe's elbow. I'd say it was less of a hit and more of a...well nothing. He didn't touch him.

So what does this tell us? Well, I think it says this. In the Miami series, the NBA wanted the Celtics to move on. In the Cleveland series, the NBA wanted to see Lebron advance (preferably to the Finals against Kobe). Against the Magic, they wanted to see Dwight Howard get a rematch of last year's finals (and at least to extend the series to 6 or 7 games). And now, the NBA clearly wants the Lakers to win but wants the series to go as long as possible. We will wait to see how this plays out, but I'm willing to bet anything the refs continue to dictate the flow of this series.

If you wanna read a little more on this, check this link out .

P.S. Kobe went 10 for 29 tonight. That's almost exactly 34% shooting. Fuck if my coach didn't pull me off the court every time i missed 5 straight shots I could be as good as Kobe Bryant too.

Welker practices again...LeBron claims to have no opinion on Thibodeau hiring for Bulls

Pats wideout Wes Welker practiced again today with the team at OTA's in Foxboro. When asked questions later, Welker downplayed the significance of being able to practice this soon after surgery on Feb. 2. He avoided questions about a timetable. He stuck to Belichick-like response stating the obvious that he was working hard to get back as soon as possible. Welker has bought into the Patriot way and will give no hint on his injury that could help other teams gameplan for the Pats in the first 4-6 games of the season.

Also, LeBron is claiming to not have had a say in the Bulls hiring Tom Thibodeau as their head coach. Thibodeau is known as a defensive coach which will probably send LeBron away who just wants to win a title while not working hard or playing any defense as was evident in the Cavs' second round exit to the Celtics. Meanwhile, Cavs owner Dan Gilbert is pursuing Tom Izzo as a coaching possibility even though Izzo has shot down the rumors. Gilbert is a Michigan State man so it makes sense but he also would not deal with LeBron's antics and ego as he continually brings in team-first minded recruits at Michigan State who stay 3-4 years. He isn't a John Calapari who brings in one and dones who only care about their draft status all season.

Also, the Sox placed Pap on the bereavement list while activating relief pitcher Boof Bonser. Daniel Bard is expected to be the closer for the series in Cleveland while Pap is out. I think Bard will do just fine the way he has pitched lately.

R.I.P. John Wooden

John Wooden, former UCLA Men's Basketball coach and basketball icon, died last night at age 99. According to his family, he died of natural causes. Wooden, nicknamed the "Wizard Of Westwood", led UCLA to 10 national titles - including 7 in a row from 1967 to 1973. He won a total of 620 games, including 88 straight at one point. Wooden is arguably one of the most influential men in the history of the game of basketball, as he introduced an up-tempo style of play and stressed the need for team play over individual play. Wooden will perhaps be best remembered for his words of wisdom, many of which are now commonplace amongst the general population. For your reading pleasure, here are a sampling of them...

1. "Nothing will work unless you do."
2. "The athlete who says that something cannot be done should never interrupt the one who is doing it."
3. "Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are."
4. "I'd rather have a lot of talent and little experience than a lot of experience and little talent."
5. "Failure is not fatal, but failure to change might be."
6. "Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do."
7. "Success comes from knowing that you did your best to become the best that you are capable of being."
8. "Ability is a poor man's wealth."
9. "The main ingredient of stardom is the rest of the team."
10. "You can't live a perfect day with doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you."

Banner 18 - Game 1 Recap

Ok look. I still stand by my statements regarding the outcome of this series. The Lakers suck. But I can't be blamed if the Celtics somehow manage to hand LA this series with pitiful performances such as last night's. They got out hustled, out rebounded, and flat out out-played. It also doesn't help when Ray Allen is getting fouls called on him for playing regular defense.

I'm not gonna waste your time with a breakdown of everything about Game 1. It was just one game. Don't count the boys in green out quite yet. Especially when that stupid fuck Pau Gasol is giving KG fuel for his competitive fire...

Countdown to Rapeville

The NBA Finals start tonight. Celtics. Lakers. It doesn't get any better if you are a fan of basketball, nevermind a Celtics or Lakers fan (although we don't know why anybody in their right mind would root for the Lakers. Which I guess explains why Jack Nicholson is at every game). The Lakers have to be coming in looking to avenge their Finals loss back in 08, and the Celtics are looking to prove the odds-makers wrong by tearing LA apart. The C's have been doubted every step of the way in these playoffs. After getting by Miami, everybody picked Cleveland to wipe the Celtics clean. And then once we tamed Queen James, everybody picked the Magic to wipe the Celtics clean. And now, the Lakers are getting the nod over the Celts. When are people going to learn? This team is a lot better than it was during the regular season. You think Paul Pierce cared if he beat some average team with 20 games left to go in the season? Not a chance. Pierce, as the rest of his veteran teammates know, understand that once you get into the playoffs, it's a whole different season. If you show up healthy and ready to compete, you are going to go somewhere. What did having great records in the regular season do for the Magic and the Cavs? Exactly.

If you want my reasoning behind why I think the Celtics will own the Lakers, here it is. First, the Laker big men are a bunch of little girls who will not be able to handle the physical play of KG, Perk, and Big Baby. Actually, the entire Laker team will be physically overmatched by the Celtics. Any team who needs to offer incentives to take charges is clearly not tough enough. You think Big Baby needs an incentive to take a charge? Shit, he would probably pay Doc Rivers 50 bucks every time he took a charge and still keep doing it. Second, I think that the Celtics defense will be too tough for the Lakers. Sure, Kobe will go for 30-10-10 a couple times, but if the Celtics can neutralize the rest of the team offensively then there is no possible way LA wins.

Bottom line, the Celtics are gonna take this series. I'm saying 6 games max, but probably 5. BEAT LA!

Also, the title of this post is funny on two levels - the Lakers are gonna get raped, and Kobe rapes innocent chicks. Facts.

Galarraga loses perfect game on blown call by Joyce

This is bullshit. Umpire Jim Joyce blew this kid a perfect game. This is why baseball needs instant replay. I don't give a fuck about the soul of the game. The calls need to be right. Tonight just is another example why football is better than baseball. Football gets the calls right. Baseball counts on a 60 year old dude's judgment. The kid handled it better than anyone could. Just smiles and shrugs it off while his team goes crazy. To give Joyce credit, he did admit he was wrong and apologize to Galarraga after the game. It is just dumb that everyone knows it was the wrong call yet replays can't be used to change it. Just another flaw with the MLB but still better than the rigged NBA. Bet anyone 100 bucks the Finals go six games minimum. Makes the league more money and publicity that way.

Welker back on practice field...ahead of schedule?

Pats' receiver Wes Welker made a surprise appearance at Patriots' OTA's today in Foxboro. Welker was present for the first twenty minutes of practice and ran through some agility drills at three quarter speed with other receivers while catching some passes from Tom Brady. This is a surprise and seems to indicate Welker is ahead of the normal recovery timetable but it it tough to tell at this point.

World Cup Preview 5

Here we go with Group E. It has the Netherlands, Cameroon, Denmark, and Japan. Ok, so this group is weak, Denmark is ok and the same goes for Japan. Netherlands are possible favorites to win and Cameroon, well, they are from Africa and will play well. Netherlands will win the group cause of their handful scoring players, and Cameroon will score with Eto up front in their formation.

Players to Watch:
Arjen Robben (Netherlands/ Midfielder): played out of this world this year and brought his club team to the European Club championship match. Has the ability to take over the game and score wonder-shots.

Samuel Eto (Cameroon/striker): proven item to score in the big games and will score to lead his team into the next round; has the ability to make defenders miss and just move into open space and score.

Game to Watch: Netherlands vs. Denmark: bragging rights in their region in the northern Europe; interesting.

Lebron is trying to outshadow the NBA Finals...shocker

So the NBA is getting what it wants now...Lebron vs. Kobe. LeBron timely held his first interview recently with CNN's Larry King. He talked about his upcoming free agency and "gives Cleveland an edge". Well thats good. It isn't like the city is begging you to come back or anything because they think you can bring them to the promise land. The city would be better off with Bosh and Wade or Wade and Boozer. The city is too pathetic to realize this so LeBron will just continue to try to take attention away from the Finals and Kobe time. Kobe needs time to get his attention about how he is going to try to beat the Celtics by himself and Vegas agrees with him putting the Lakers as the favorite. The next month is going to be a battle between the two not on the court, where it should be, but off it to see who can make more headline news by talking about how great they are. Here is a video of each little bitch in prime form

P.S. Go Soderling. Stop living in the past. Soderling man-handled Federer. Get over it.

Worst Day Ever

Screw the World Cup. Screw the NBA Finals. Screw everything. Today sucks. Know why? Because my homeboy Roger Federer lost in the French Open quarterfinals to a retarded, lumbering Swede named Robin Soderling. This blows. Did Soderling not know he was supposed to lose this match? Didn't anybody tell him who he was playing? Where the hell is Kanye West when you need him? - "Excuse me, Soderling, but Roger Federer is one of the greatest of ALL TIME". In case you forgot at how hard RFed OWNS Soderling, here's a little reminder (or 3):

How you like them apples Soderling? Have fun getting wiped off the planet whenever you run into Nadal or Djokobitch.

(Also I was kidding about the NBA Finals. I hope to have something for that soon).

World Cup Preview 4

Back again with another thrilling edition of World Cup Preview 4, with Group D. Group D has Germany, Serbia, Ghana, and Australia. I would consider this the second group of death. Each one of these teams has played very well leading into the World Cup and each team has world class talent in the likes of Mario Gomez for Germany, Tim Chaill for the Aussies. I predict that Germany will win this group without the best German player in Michael Ballack (out of World Cup due to injury) and that Australia cause they are Aussies and have a great song aussie, aussie, aussie, oy, oy, oy

Players to Watch for:
Bastian Schweinsteiger (Germany/ Midfielder): a very strong midfielder that can play out on the wing and can carry himself around the pitch might be a major key since Ballack is hurt for the Cup

Nemanja Vidic (Serbia/ Defender (CB)): plays for Manchester Utd and goes up against the best thus he will have a great World Cup since his defending skills are second to none, will get hurt if he goes against a speedy striker but he always seems to get the first touch on the ball to slow them up.

Game to Watch: Germany vs. Serbia: a strong European match that might decide the winner of the group...
