Former Terrier defenseman and assistant captain, Eric Gryba, has officially signed a three year deal with the Ottawa Senators. He has joined their AHL affiliate in Binghamton and expects to play in his first professional game Friday night against Wilkes- Barre/Scranton. Gryba, a third round draft pick of the Sens in 2006, will play his first game against two former Terrier teammates in Brian Strait and John Curry. Gryba will see lots of these two as the Baby Sens and the Baby Pens play each other three times in April. Gryba joins three other signees in the Ottawa organization including UNH forward Bobby Bulter, who signed a three year deal as a free agent. Look for Gryba's first penalty(ies)/fight on the blog Saturday morning.
Also, senior forward Luke Popko is featured in the Daily Free Press today for his work ethic on and off the ice along with his role as the team jokester during the past season.
