According to USCHO , three BC freshman hockey players are being charged with being a minor in possession of alcohol following a late night car crash. Philip Samuelsson, Patrick Wey, and Parker Milner were all in a Jeep Cherokee which swerved in front of and hit a Green Line trolley on Commonwealth Avenue (none of them drove, and the driver was supposedly sober). According to the trolley's driver, one or more of the occupants of the Jeep attempted to throw away containers with alcohol before fleeing the scene. UPDATE: Goalie Parker Milner was reportedly the one who fled the scene, leaving his teammates and fellow passengers behind. BAHAHAHA. 4 of the Jeep's passengers were taken to the hospital to treat minor neck injuries; nobody on the trolley was injured.
Clearly this just proves that BC hockey players are idiots who don't know enough not to drink and drive around Boston. Did you see Dave Warsofsky, Vinny Saponari, and Kieran Millan drinking and driving around Boston following their National Championship? Hell no. They did it in dorms and frat houses, like everybody else. Only a BC student would think it was a bright idea to do it in a car and then proceed to cut off a Green Line trolley. If this happened to a couple BU guys, Parker would be breaking necks and taking names. York probably won't even punish his guys.
But hey, at least this gives Hockey East another chant when BC comes to town. I haven't got anything yet, but you bet I will by the time hockey season comes.
