Colby Cohen is a First-Team All-American?

USCHO.com is reporting that--wait for it--Colby Cohen has been named a first team all-American in the East region for the 2009-10 season. What? I'm utterly floored by this. At the very least, Warso and Gryba were more solid D-line men this year for the Terriers. I'd like to echo redd10's sentiments that Cohen was definitely unprepared to make the leap to the pros--his slapper might have been pro ready and he put up good offensive numbers this year, but his D needs a considerable amount of work. Looking at the rest of the east first team--Bobby Butler, Nyquist, Cornell's Ben Scrivens, RPI's Chase Polacek--one of these things is not like the other. I wish other players who contributed as much to the Terriers this year could've received similar credit.

Still though congrats to CC, the voters for those awards know much more than I about hockey. I really hope he has a phenomenal pro career with Shatty, ZC, Yip and eventually Kieran. We still owe him for the championship. An unforgettable moment in this fan's life. Thanks Colby.

  1. Well said.
And that video makes me so happy I get sick to my stomach every time I watch it, too bad we weren't all at school to enjoy it together.
