NFL Mock Draft part 1 of 6

This is my projections for picks 1-10 in the upcoming NFL Draft that starts with the first round next Thursday(4/22) 7:30et on ESPN.

1. Saint Louis Rams- Sam Bradford QB Oklahoma
- The Rams need a QB but I think they should wait until the second round to take him and take Suh here. However, they have the first overall pick for a reason. They take Bradford here.

2. Detroit Lions- Ndamukong Suh DT Nebraska
- Even the Lions can’t not take the best overall player in the draft and have a force in the middle of their defensive line for years to come.

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Gerald McCoy DT Oklahoma
- Almost as good as Suh. Tampa gets a steal with him dropping this low as any other year he could have been the number one overall pick.

4. Washington Redskins- Russell Okung OT Oklahoma State
-The trade for McNabb makes this pick possible to take an o-lineman or trade down for value.

5. Kansas City Chiefs- Eric Berry S Tennessee
- Pioli takes the best play-maker in the draft right here in Berry. Berry is easily the top athlete in the draft and a steal at pick #5.

6. Seattle Seahawks- Trent Williams OT Oklahoma
-Seattle needs 0-lineman especially with the retirement of long-time left tackle Walter Jones.

7.Cleveland Browns- Joe Haden CB Florida
New team president Mike Holmgren knows what it takes to build a strong franchise… playmakers on defense. Haden is very quick and a playmaker who will contribute right away on a terrible defense.

8. Oakland Raiders- Dez Bryant WR Oklahoma State
- Al Davis is crazy. Straight up nutso. He thinks NFL games are won by the fastest team. He will take Bryant here to compliment his other underachieving, but fast wide receiver Darius Heyward-Bey. The Raiders will continue to pick in the top 10 until this trend changes... except for next year when the Pats have their first round pick from the Seymour trade. Lets hope the craziness continues.

9. Buffalo Bills- Ryan Bulaga OT Iowa
-A lot of people have Clausen going here but I don’t. Yes, Buffalo needs a quarterback but they need a line to protect whoever that is first.
10. Jacksonville Jaguars- Jason Pierre-Paul DE/LB South Florida
- Jaguars stay in the state and take a play-making pass rusher to help one of the league’s worse pass rushes.

  1. You're expecting the Lions and the Bills to be a lot smarter than they actually are...
