Miami trade for Marshall...Rivers may be in last season with Celts

The Broncos have announced today that they are trading wide receiver Brandon Marshall to the Miami Dolphins for second-round draft picks in 2010 and 2011. The Dolphins quickly signed Marshall to a 4 year- 47.5 million dollar extension to make Marshall the highest paid receiver in league history. The deal includes 24 million in guaranteed money for Marshall, who is probably going to spend most of that money on crack and firearms (dude's crazy). His immature antics forced his way out of Denver, where coach Josh McDaniels wanted to strangle him by the end of the season. Marshall gives Miami a legit receiver and is the second trouble-bound receiver to come to the AFC East this week after Santonio Holmes went to the Jets. This puts talent in the division for the Patriots to contend with. Look for them to look at cornerbacks in the upcoming NFL draft next week.

According to ESPN Boston, Celtics coach Doc Rivers may be in his last season with the team.
There had been rumors in seasons past about the 48-year-old Rivers stepping down, and once again it's the tug of his family life -- not another NBA coaching opportunity -- that may pull him away. Rivers said GM Danny Ainge had already approached him about a contract extension during this season but he wanted to put it off until the summer to make a proper decision when he didn't have basketball games to coach. Rivers has three kids graduating next year, two from college and one from high school. Rivers has always been known to be a family man, but the decision to leave would still be a surprise to Celtic nation.
