Laurence Maroney made a promise in an interview at training camp this weekend.
"That's how I've got to be on the field. Rough. I can't go out there being all pretty because then you're all going to say I'm dancing."
Maroney is finally fully healthy heading into a season and knows what is expected of him in the coming season if he wants to see the field ahead of veterans Sammy Morris, Fred Taylor and Kevin Faulk. Maroney, who is still only 25, looks to become the back the Patriots envisioned when drafting him in the first round. He has the talent to be a single headed threat out of the backfield to take the pressure off Brady and the receiving corps.
