Kieran! Kieran! Kieran!
The BU Terriers almost blew a 2-0 lead from the first period for the second time in two home games this season but held on behind the magnificent play from junior goalie Kieran Millan. Millan saved 39 of the 40 shots he faced as the Providence Friars outshot the Terriers 40 to 20 and outplayed our boys in scarlet and red for much of the last two periods. The lackluster effort gives the coaches something to yell at the team for leading up to the home and home with UMASS-Lowell this Halloween weekend. The Terriers killed all seven of the Friar powerplays but did allow 14 shots on goal. Without Millan, this could have been a long night for the Terriers. He played out of this world and with calls going against the Terriers (Quinn sucks), not much was going right. But the Canadian goalie put the team on his back and led us to another victory giving the team five points in HE. The team needs to continue to get wins with an easy beginning to their Hockey East schedule before they run into Maine in two weekends followed by Merrimack, UNH, and BC.
