Freshman forward Sahir Gill has been named the Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Month for October. Gill landed the award over runners up Michael Pereira (UMass) and Chad Ruhwedel (ULowell). Hockey East Online had this to say regarding Gill's season thus far:
Gill has made impressive contributions right away and been a major reason for the Terriers' undefeated start (6-0-1). In October, Gill registered eight points (3g,5) in seven games and is tied for the team lead with a +7 rating. In just his second collegiate game, Gill tallied a goal and three assists to lead BU to a 5-4 victory over Notre Dame in the championship game of the Ice Breaker Tournament.
BU's Kieran Millan and Dave Warsoksy were runners up for the Goalie of the Month and Player of the Month awards, respectively.
