BU basketball beats UVM...Hockey hopes to do the same later

The BU Terriers mens' basketball team beat the University of Vermont 74-65 today at Case Gym.Senior forward John Holland and junior guard Daryl Partin lead the Terriers with 24 points a piece. Freshman D.J. Irving added 16 more to help the Terriers improve to 2-1 in America East play this season and drop UVM to 2-1. The Terriers only went 8 deep throughout the whole game and won the second half convincingly as the game was tied at half time. This is a big win for the Terriers as they will take any wins they can get in conference play. The team plays next on Saturday in Albany to take on the Great Danes in another conference game.

The men's hockey team takes on UVM tonight now in a big Hockey East matchup for a Terriers team that is facing adversity. The young team has struggled as of late and coach Jack Parker recently dismissed junior forward Andrew Glass from the team. Tonight's game(which is on CBS college sports) should be a big test for this young team. Kieran Millan is expected to get the nod in net and forwards Alex Chiasson(leg) and Charlie Coyle(World Juniors) will be back in the line up after missing time last weekend.
