This finishes up my mock draft of the first 2 rounds. The draft starts tonight at 7:30 but only includes Round 1. Round2-3 will happen tomorrow night at 6 on ESPN.
54. Cincinnati- Brandon LaFell WR LSU
- Cincinnati needs young receivers to replace the one and only Ocho Cinco as his career comes to a close.
55. Philadelphia- Eric Norwood OLB South Carolina
- The Eagles look to strengthen a linebacker corps that needs to get younger.
56. Green Bay-Jared Veldheer OT Hillsdale
- Green Bay looks to find young offensive lineman to protect their franchise QB Aaron Rodgers
57. Baltimore- Akwasi Owusu-Ansah CB Indiana (PA)
- Baltimore looks to rebuild their secondary while still winning as veterans Chris MaCalister and Ed Reed near the end of their careers.
58. Arizona- Jimmy Graham TE Miami
- Arizona takes the most athletic tight end in the draft to give new QBs Matt Leinhart and Derek Anderson a good target to throw to
59. Dallas- Morgan Burnett S Georgia Tech
- Dallas continues the safety trend in this draft as they try to get younger at the postion.
60. San Diego- Chad Jones S LSU
- San Diego tries to rebuild a secondary without Antonio Rodgers(Illegitimate children) Cromartie.
61.NY Jets- Alex Carrington DE Arkansas St.
- The Jets look to get a young defensive end for Jason Taylor to tutor along with Vernon Gholston the bust.
62. Minnesota- Jonathan Dwyer RB Georgia Tech
- Minnesota might move up to take Tebow in the second but they need a running back to compliment Peterson since Chester Taylor has moved on via free agency.
63. Indy- D’Anthony Smith DE Lousiana Tech
- Crazy team president loves fast pass rushers and takes a young one here to learn from one of the best in Dwight Freeney.
64. New Orleans- Geno Atkins DT Georgia
- New Orleans looks to build from their defensive line with this pick and Brian Price in the first.
