Fucking Vinny Saponari. First he breaks BU team rules and gets himself dismissed from the team by Coach Parker, now he's COMMITTED TO BC for next year. Are you kidding me? A million thoughts came to mind when I first read this over at The Boston Hockey Blog. The first being that no matter how many times he tries to say this isn't a move made out of spite towards BU, it clearly is. He clearly felt wronged when he was dismissed by BU, and now he's trying to get back at us. Well I have news for Mr. Saponari - BC has a a million good forwards who are as good if not better than you. So have fun playing 4th line grinder behind Kreider, Atkinson, Whitney, and all those idiots down at BC.
The second thing that comes to mind is this: how could Jerry York take Saponari? York is a friend of Parker's, you have to think that York knows what Saponari did. You don't take a kid after he gets dismissed by Jack Parker for breaking team rules. One explanation is that York feels Parker dismissed him to send a message, and not for any egregious offenses. I have to think that York is smarter than this, but maybe not. Either that, or Parker and York really aren't friends, which seems to make a little more sense right now.
The third thing that comes to mind is that I CAN'T WAIT TO BOO THIS GUY. Bring it on Saponari. Bring it on. I hope Nicastro decks him the first weekend of December 2011.
