News broke today that rising junior defenseman Alexx Privitera and incoming recruit Jarrid Privitera would be parting with the BU hockey program. While the reasons still remain unclear, Alexx will certainly be missed on the blueline and the loss of Jarrid will hurt the depth of the forwards. These losses certainly hurt but thankfully come early enough in the summer for the new coaching staff to cover for. Alexx posted a 2-10-12 line last year in 23 games before being suspended by now former Coach Parker. He did lead the team in blocked shots for a majority of the season and he will be missed offensively and defensively. The defense will still be the strength of this team next season as they return 4 dmen who saw regular ice time(Noonan, Grzelcyk, MacGregor, and Oksanen) along with their 2 goalies who split starts last season .
It is tough to anticipate lineups until rosters are finalized later in the summer but your 6 defenseman look to be the 4 above along with 2 incoming freshmen, Doyle Somerby and Dalton MacAfee. We at BSRS will miss Alexx next year as we were always fans of his play even if his edge brought upon some extra penalties at times. We wish him and his younger brother Jarrid all the best wherever they lace up the skates next(unless its for BC).
screw them. We want men in the program not the jerks we have been seeing too much of in the past four years.

ReplyDeletelove the picture guys
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know what's up with the seniors who just graduated? I'd like to hear any news on the guys. This past year's senior class was a crew of really good players and stand up guys. Good luck to them if they continue playing or entering the "real world". Always be Terriers to us!
ReplyDelete@ Anonymous 2- He is most likely on the golf course
ReplyDelete@ Matt- We forgot the photo credit. Our bad. fixed it for you
@Anonymous 3- Your guess is as good as ours. If they plan on continuing their hockey careers, they are most likely training for the upcoming season . If they aren't, then they are looking for jobs like every other grad. Agreed good luck to them regardless of what their plans are.
