Terriers extend winning streak to 6, sweep BC

The BU Terriers continued their red hot month plus of play with their second consecutive win over Boston College Eagles Newton University Pigeons. The Terriers followed up a 2-1 win Friday night at Agganis Arena with a 3-0 win last night at the dump that is Conte Forum. Jake Oettinger who was named first star of the weekend in NCAA  hockey stopped 66 of 67 shots to bested his former teammate and fellow goalie Joe Woll who played very well in net for BC as well.

The Terriers got a powerplay goal from freshman bruiser Pat Curry and then added late tallies from sophomores JFK and Bobo to sweep  the conference series with their rival. The teams will face off again on the first Monday of the Beanpot and BU will probably shut them out again.

The Terriers have now won six games in a row(McAvoy, Keller, Bellows, Oettinger, Greenway, and Harper have won 13 games in a row) and are 2nd in Hockey East and third nationally Pairwise. The wagon is going full steam ahead. Very bad news for the rest of college hockey.
