Welker back on practice field...ahead of schedule?

Pats' receiver Wes Welker made a surprise appearance at Patriots' OTA's today in Foxboro. Welker was present for the first twenty minutes of practice and ran through some agility drills at three quarter speed with other receivers while catching some passes from Tom Brady. This is a surprise and seems to indicate Welker is ahead of the normal recovery timetable but it it tough to tell at this point.

World Cup Preview 5

Here we go with Group E. It has the Netherlands, Cameroon, Denmark, and Japan. Ok, so this group is weak, Denmark is ok and the same goes for Japan. Netherlands are possible favorites to win and Cameroon, well, they are from Africa and will play well. Netherlands will win the group cause of their handful scoring players, and Cameroon will score with Eto up front in their formation.


Players to Watch:
Arjen Robben (Netherlands/ Midfielder): played out of this world this year and brought his club team to the European Club championship match. Has the ability to take over the game and score wonder-shots.



Samuel Eto (Cameroon/striker): proven item to score in the big games and will score to lead his team into the next round; has the ability to make defenders miss and just move into open space and score.



Game to Watch: Netherlands vs. Denmark: bragging rights in their region in the northern Europe; interesting.

Lebron is trying to outshadow the NBA Finals...shocker

So the NBA is getting what it wants now...Lebron vs. Kobe. LeBron timely held his first interview recently with CNN's Larry King. He talked about his upcoming free agency and "gives Cleveland an edge". Well thats good. It isn't like the city is begging you to come back or anything because they think you can bring them to the promise land. The city would be better off with Bosh and Wade or Wade and Boozer. The city is too pathetic to realize this so LeBron will just continue to try to take attention away from the Finals and Kobe time. Kobe needs time to get his attention about how he is going to try to beat the Celtics by himself and Vegas agrees with him putting the Lakers as the favorite. The next month is going to be a battle between the two not on the court,where it should be, but off it to see who can make more headline news by talking about how great they are. Worst Day Ever

Screw the World Cup. Screw the NBA Finals. Screw everything. Today sucks. Know why? Because my homeboy Roger Federer lost in the French Open quarterfinals to a retarded, lumbering Swede named Robin Soderling. This blows. Did Soderling not know he was supposed to lose this match? Didn't anybody tell him who he was playing? Where the hell is Kanye West when you need him? - "Excuse me, Soderling, but Roger Federer is one of the greatest of ALL TIME". In case you forgot at how hard RFed OWNS Soderling, here's a little reminder (or 3):







How you like them apples Soderling? Have fun getting wiped off the planet whenever you run into Nadal or Djokobitch.

World Cup Preview 4

Back again with another thrilling edition of World Cup Preview 4, with Group D. Group D has Germany, Serbia, Ghana, and Australia. I would consider this the second group of death. Each one of these teams has played very well leading into the World Cup and each team has world class talent in the likes of Mario Gomez for Germany, Tim Chaill for the Aussies. I predict that Germany will win this group without the best German player in Michael Ballack (out of World Cup due to injury) and that Australia cause they are Aussies and have a great song aussie, aussie, aussie, oy, oy, oy


Players to Watch for:
Bastian Schweinsteiger (Germany/ Midfielder): a very strong midfielder that can play out on the wing and can carry himself around the pitch might be a major key since Ballack is hurt for the Cup



Nemanja Vidic (Serbia/ Defender (CB)): plays for Manchester Utd and goes up against the best thus he will have a great World Cup since his defending skills are second to none, will get hurt if he goes against a speedy striker but he always seems to get the first touch on the ball to slow them up.



Game to Watch: Germany vs. Serbia: a strong European match that might decide the winner of the group...
