Quick Thoughts on the BU Win vs NU

Hey ya'll! So tonight the Terriers took down local foes Northeastern University. As the only member that stayed/ even showed up (George, Quack, Feliz, Ray) I decided to give you all a quick thought on the game. BU went down quick on 2 goals by NU. The team still looked like it had a hangover from the terrible weekend that just passed against BC. BU responded scoring 2 goals (Coyle & Santana[his 1st as a Terrier]) in the 1st period to tie the game up heading into intermission (also we won some chicken). We came out strong in the 2nd period and scored another two goals to have the lead at 4-2 (Trivino & Nieto). NU picked up the play midway through the 2nd after NU pulled Rawlings and placed the back up sieve, Witt, between the pipes. They scored soon after to cut the lead to 4-3 heading into the 2nd intermission.

After a slow opening, BU was caught with their hands down the pants and got 2 penalties on the same play to give NU a 5 vs. 3 powerplay. NU converted on the powerplay to make it 4-4. It seemed that the puck was left out in the open in front of Milan and none of the defenders cleared the zone and MacLeod lit the lamp on a right top shelf goal. With only a few minutes left, Alex Chiasson lit the lamp to make it 5-4 BU. BU held on for great kick start win.

The players showed a lot determination out there and as a fan I was proud to be Terrier. Hopefully, the play continues when BU travels to Troy this weekend to play RPI.
