That's right people. It's time for some more Hockey East action at Agganis Arena. Tonight your Terriers take on the Teddy Bears (read: hicks) of Maine. To be fair, Maine comes into this game ranked 7th in the nation and can more or less score at will. We hope to have another packed crowd, and we will be in the middle of 108 causing havoc as usual. That all being said, here are some game day odds and ends.
The Terriers lines tonight look like this, with junior Kieran Millan in net:
Nieto-Trivino-Chiasson
Gill-Coyle-Pereira
Connolly-Megan-Santana
Glass-Gaudet-Gilroy
Warsofsky-Nicastro
Noonan-Clendening
Escobedo-Ruikka
An astute fan will notice that the top two lines have been switched from last weekend. If I had to guess (and I'm sure of this) I'd say it's because Trivino is our best defensive forward and Parker is clearly concerned with Maine's top line of forwards scoring at will. UPDATE: Having just read Boston Hockey Blog, I can report that Maine's top line center Tanner House will miss tonight's game with an upper body injury. He did not make the trip down.
USCHO.com has their usual weekend picks. Spoiler alert: they pick Maine. Bastards.
QuackQuack mentioned yesterday that freshman forward Yasin Cisse underwent season ending surgery to repair an ankle injury and will redshirt this season. This is true, but he failed to quote his source. So here it is: The Boston Hockey Blog.
Inside College Hockey has a good article in which they talk to Chris Connolly about this season's fast start compared to last season's slow start.
GoTerriers has game notes as well as a couple links for tonight's game, you can see it right here.
The Portland Press Herald has a preview of tonight's game as well, in which they clearly focus on Maine. But hey.
The Lady Terriers take on PC today (I think they are playing right now? Whoops) and UNH tomorrow. They look to hang onto their #5 ranking in the nation without 3 of their top players.
