Guest Post from @BurntBoats: BC Misses Cavanaugh

Editor's note: You can follow/tweet at the author of this wonderful post on Twitter (@BurntBoats).  If you have any comments or disagreements with that he said feel free to tweet at him. If you're from North Dakota/Newton, you will probably bitch at us because your reading comprehension is lacking which is fine too because we agree with 100% of things that shed a negative light on BC Hockey/this post.

Hey again, internet pals, thanks to BSRS for continuing to let me, @BurntBoats, use their site to say things longer than 140 characters with guest posts. So let’s have at it:

If I were to walk up to a random BC hockey fan and tell them Mike “Cav” Cavanaugh is a very good college hockey coach, I would be met with thorough agreement. If I instead said it appears the Eagles program significantly misses “Cav” I would probably be told I was stupid, and then I would feel bad. Alas, I will try to fight on, and explain why I believe both of my above statements are true.

Taking a quick step back, your average college hockey program has a head coach, an associate head coach (which is a glorified title for top assistant coach) who focuses on either the defense or the forwards, an assistant coach who focuses on whichever of the previous positions the associate doesn’t, and a volunteer goalie coach. A quick look around the league and it appears to me that
10 of the 12 Hockey East schools have this format for their staff.

One of the two schools that differ from this is UML, which does not have a volunteer assistant position so the (young/virile) head coach has primary responsibility for the forwards and one assistant takes the defense while the other handles the goaltenders.

The other, as you may have guessed, is BC, but has only been in this situation recently. Until late spring 2013 BC had –remarkably – gone nearly a decade without a change in their staff, Jerry York was the head coach, associate “Cav” handled the forwards, assistant Greg Brown coached the defense, and volunteer assistant Jim Logue was in charge of the goalies.

Things That Don't Suck About BC

During the past three seasons, I have made lists of the reasons why BC sucks. You can find my most recent one at that link and it is extremely accurate. This week I am taking on a different angle - things that don't suck about BC...

Hockey East Pick Em Week 4

Here are the updated standing after 3 weekends of Hockey East teams in action. We don't have ties in our standings because we are predicting ties. So if there is a tie, your prediction is wrong unless you predicted a tie.

QQ 14-8 (.636) Last week- 6-5
FM 13-9 (.591)  Last  7-4
HS 10-9 (.526) Last 7-4
Raymundo 9-10 (.473) Last 7-4
MWW 9-10 (.473) Last 4-7
GW 7-12 (.368) Last 1-10

Week 4
Friday 10/26

BC @ Lowell

QQ- 3-3 tie. I think Doug Carr can keep the River Hawks in the game and manage a point at home.
FM- BC 4-1-The Whatsariverhawks haven't shown ability to hang with top teams and BC is starting to roll.
HS- BC 3-1. BC sweeps the weekend, LOL fans slit wrists and the crack supply per capita in Lowell doubles.
Raymundo- BC 3-1
MWW- BC 3-2. I think BC can play well this weekend away from home. They won't seem mediocre and have to pull one out their ass like last weekend.
GW- Lowell 5-2. I'm not kidding I won't pick BC once this year.

Maine @ PC

QQ- PC 7-0. PC is legit taking Miami to OT twice on the road while Maine got killed at home. Easy pick here. Things will get worse before they get better for the inbreds from Maine.
FM- PC 3-0. Friars are gonna make a run at home ice and Maine looks like they may be the worst team in the league
HS- PC 2-1 OT I don't want Maine to keep embarrassing themselves on the ice but I also kind of do, as long as it's against a HE team. Diamond finally gets his second misconduct of the year as PC sweeps.
Raymundo- PC 4-3
MWW- PC 3-1. PC has been playing better than Maine in every aspect of the game.
GW- PC 4-3. FTP: For The Pope

A Freshman's Guide To Dog Pound Chants

It's finally here, Terriers. The second installment of the burgeoning Dog Pound Hockey for Dummies series, all about Dog Pound chants. A rundown of the best ways to use the air in your lungs for the betterment of BU hockey, whether by supporting our Terriers or heckling the opposition. Let's get to it.

This first section will focus on all the miscellaneous chants you'll see and hear during games at Agganis. This is not comprehensive - there are chants in the original post that I didn't bother to recopy here.

Dog Pound Hockey for Dummies

[second installment here: Dog Pound Chants] FAQ: What is the Dog Pound?
We are The Dog Pound. Founded in 1972, we are a group of rabid and passionate fans who support BU's athletic teams.

What does the Dog Pound do?
We show up in droves at Agganis Arena, Case Gym, Nickerson Field, Walter Brown Arena, and anywhere BU is competing, near or far.

What are the goals of the Dog Pound?
Our main objectives are to stand, be loud, go crazy, and have fun while supporting Terrier athletics.

How does the Dog Pound describe success?
2012 longtime BU Head Coach Jack Parker stated "I think they think they help us win, but I don’t think they know how much they help us win." In 2005, CBS College Sports recognized The Dog Pound as the best student section in all of college hockey. The players agree... AS DO OUR ENEMIES.

What are the most important things for the Dog Pound?
That the opposing team knows when they come to play BU, they will be hearing us the whole time.

What does it mean to be in the Dog Pound?
The only requirement for being a member of The Dog Pound is the willingness to show up at games, be loud, and passionately support our Terriers.

New polls..BU continues to climb

The BU Terriers rose one spot in the USCHO.com poll for the second straight week. They now sit at #11 overall after winning in their season opener against PC.  The Terriers continue to climb from their pre-season spot at #13. Here is my breakdown of the rest of the poll.

1. Minnesota(46)- Minnesota is the new number one. They dismantled Michigan State this weekend putting up 12 goals during the two game set. Those wins along with a BC loss leads them to get 46 of the 50 possible first place votes. They should have gotten all of them.
2. North Dakota(1)- Minnesota's chief rival comes in at number 2 by not playing this weekend. That tells you what kind of weekend the top 5 had.
3. BC(2)- I would like to know what morons still voted BC 1 after they got abused by Northeastern Saturday night.
4.Miami- Two wins and they jump up 4 spots
5. Michigan- They lost to RIT at home on Friday, but rebounded on Saturday with a decisive win. Still not a good look to be losing to Atlantic Hockey teams at home as us BU fans learned all too well last October.

Trivino News and His Future as a NY Islander

So if you haven't heard Trivino made a guilty plea today in court if you want the whole story head here or there. I decided to cover his future move into the NHL or AHL or maybe another league since he used to play for BU and his draft rights are with my favorite NHL team, NY Islanders. Trivino was drafted by the New York Islanders a few years ago (2008) as center or forward. He was drafted by the Islanders when they were in rebuilding mode and still are in rebuilding mode. Since his draft, the Islanders drafted better players in that position for Bridgeport(AHL) and have better players that have moved into the center position in NHL from the AHL.

The top 4 lines for the Islanders are taken at center. John Tavares, Frans Nielsen, Ryan Strome, and Josh Bailey have laid claim to center in each line. Maybe Josh Bailey is traded (some rumors) or is moved to AHL since he is very streaky player. If Bailey is sent down most likely David Ullstrom takes over the 4th line. In the AHL, he could start no problem. Probably the 3rd or 4th line, which in my opinion is where he should be in career. Depending on possible trades, Trivino could move to the 1st or 2nd line in the AHL (rumor has it Islanders are still thinking about Bobby Ryan but would give up most of their talent in the center position). If Trivino could move his position from C to the RW, since the LW is taken on all levels. The RW has an opening on the 4th line in the NHL and maybe the quickest way to see him make it to the NHL but personally I think he doesn't have enough speed to play in the NHL or rather keep that speed constant throughout a game. So if he stays with the Islanders, I could not see him in the NHL unless he changes position and become an AHL lifer.

BU beats Harvard 3-1 in Beanpot Semifinal

BU beat Harvard 3-1 in the first round of this year's Beanpot in an all-around sloppy game. I'll take the W's any way we can get them though. BU jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a great play by sophomore winger Matt Nieto who had great patience before scoring on a wrap -around of a Harvard d-man's leg. I think the whole crowd(which at the time consisted of BU students and media members) thought he was going to shoot the puck short-side there. BU's second goal was a greasy powerplay goal by Wade Megan on the assists from Sahir Gill and Sean Escobedo. Megan also scored the 3rd goal of the night, walking in all alone and scoring on a backhanded flip. Harvard added a powerplay goal at the end of the second but could never get any closer than that.

BU advances to play Newton University(BC) aka Chestnut Hill Community College. BC extended Northeastern's Beanpot-less streak to 24 years as they still have not won one since 1988. Sucks to suck Northeastern. You were an embarrassment to hockey in general tonight not just yourselves. BC literally was given the game but I guess we shouldn't expect much else from a team with Vinny Saponari on it. BU returns to action this Friday as they host UMass"riot-city" Amherst. BC takes on UVM in their game Friday before the 60th Beanpot final next Monday which should be a thriller.

Parker York Round 2

Last time I made one of these gems, BU won 5-0 so I'm trying it again. Once again, this is based off of no actual conversations between the two coaches so no one try to sue me.

BREAKING NEWS: Information That Needs to Be Heard Now For This Weekend

Parker Milner: Moms name: Cheri (dad is chris if you go that way). He does have sisters too but according to BC website they are younger than him so I will not name. So just remember if you hear us at the game yelling out Cheri, join in cause she sucks too, if catch my drift...

10 reasons why BC Sucks

We will get our interview with fan favorite Garrett Noonan up sometime late tonight or tomorrow morning so for now I am going to mock a similar post I made from last year on BC week but mix it up to make it even better. Here we go...Here is last year's post for reference

1. You call yourself Boston College yet you aren't a college or in Boston- Save the crap where Conte technically falls on the last corner of Boston. It takes you over an hour to get to the state house or the north end. You are just a bunch of losers going to school in Newton with a bunch of rich fucks.

2. We beat them 5-0 in November- Suck my nuts. We embarrassed you on national TV and are going to do it again Friday. That was all without Garrett Noonan. Now we got him at 100% and you don't stand a chance. Sucks to suck.

3. All BC students think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread- This is why I hated BC even before I came to BU. Memo to BC students- just because you take religion classes and tell yourself that you are so cool does not make you any better than anyone you arrogant pieces of shit.

4. Jerry York is a pious fuck- This guy is just one of those people who is way too nice. It is like Tim Tebow 50 years later in life. My favorite clip of York is when he was discussing how great the team mass before everygame was. Seriously bro? Team mass? Just let everyone pray or do whatever the fuck they want to do before the game instead of forcing them to listen to some retard BC priest(I'm Catholic so I can say this and not offend anyone)

5. Parker Milner is a sieve- Guy gives up more rebounds and soft goals than any goalie I have ever seen. Swiss cheese anyone?

6. BC fans are all pink hat frauds- For a school that pretends that sports are such a big part of the student life, they really have poor attendance unless the game is a rival or on television. It is easy to show up when the team is good. The true fans show up when the going gets tough. These kids are all sitting in some shitty Newton bar like "OMG today in religion class, the priest said we were the best because we were taking religion classes". Yeah how is that religion class going to help you get a job or perform it well? Just curious. I'm all for church on sunday if that's what you want to do but don't force every student to take it.

7. Bald eagles almost went extinct- Yeah such a good mascot. Eagles is just so original too. Fucking uncreative idiots.

8. Their AD is full retard- C'mon man you never go full retard. Just fire Spaz already and maybe you will be relevant again someday.

9. Tommy and Cam Atkinson beat up innocent bikers- See, you certainly didn't reflect upon your religion classes before you beat the piss out of this kid.

10. BC takes up a valuable spot in the Beanpot- BC has as much right to play in the Beanpot as Alaska -Anchorage. Fuck these losers.

That's all I got for now. Stay tuned for the transcript on that Garrett Noonan interview.

BU releases 2011-2012 schedule

Boston University has released it's hockey schedule for the upcoming 2011-2012 season. This schedule was released in the last week by the school and has some interesting changes and additions to the schedule. Here are some notable games but for the full schedule follow this link.

1. 10/8 - UNH 8 p.m. - Regular season opener at home against a very talented UNH team. The Greek will be rocking for sure.

2. 10/15- Denver 7 p.m.- The Pioneers visit BU as part of a Boston weekend as they also travel to Newton University the night before. I honestly can say I hope they split on the weekend. You know where I am going with this.

3. 11/13 @ Newton University TBA- This is interesting and just too much ammo. We play at BC on a Sunday. Isn't there a religious a rule against this? "Thou shall not get destroyed by BU on the sabbath". I think that is one of the ten commandments but no one pays attention in CCD so who knows. This is earlier than usual as it is usually the first weekend of December for BC home and home which also exists this year. That puts all of the BC games (minus the Beanpot final) before the winter break.

4. Cornell 11/26 MSG - Red hot hockey. Enough said here.

5. Notre Dame 12/31 TBA- New year's day in South Bend? I want in. Who wants to road trip over winter break next year?

6. 1/13 @Northeastern- The first game against the fucks who ended our season. Maybe they'll be have and not throw trash on the ice but probably not. It is Northeastern we're talking about.

7. 3/2 vs. Northeastern- The return of Vinny Saponari to the Greek. There will probably be some hostile fans in the building considering what a dick he was and how our season ended to these goons last year.

- These are just some of the games that standout to me at first glance but obviously the games with Merrimack, Maine, and the rest of Hockey East are all very important. So here is an early prediction. BU goes 34-0-0.Connolly wins the Hobey and team mvp while beating Northeastern a combined 15-1 in the three meetings and BC 19-0. Sorry college hockey BU is going to be back. We're winning it all. NCAA, HE tourny, Beanpot, HE regular season. If there is a trophy, we 'll win it. Is it time to play hockey yet?

Happy April Fool's Day!...well this is just a fact of life

It's funny because BC sucks and now everyone in Boston is reminded of it. Granted BC kids would never see this since their actual campus is in Newton and Kenmore square is a solid day trip for them. Surprisingly no good pranks out of Newton today...I guess you don't learn how to change construction signs in religion class all day. Enjoy.

Why BU makes the NCAA tournament...updated field projections round 2

So this week sucked after Monday night am I right? I don't know about you guys but I personally just wanted to punch a baby after that game. I was there and had to hear it from those alter boys all the way to the T and on the T for two stops before the MBTA took our train out of service. Apparently the fanboys were too rowdy. I hate BC kids more than well...anyone but even I didn't understand what they were doing by stopping the train. How about the MBTA gets out of a billion dollar debt then takes my train out of service whenever they want.It isn't like all the kids pouring out of the garden is a big surprise. It happens twice every year you idiots. I guess it has to do with those idiots down in Newton driving drunk and crashing into the T last spring. Anyway...moral of the story we walked the three miles home from Government Center scaring the shit out of a superfraud on the way.

Back to the point of this post...there is now less than a month left in the regular season and I figured it would be a good time to make my second crack at predicting the field on the NCAA tournament and breaking down what BU needs to do to get in without winning the HE post-season tourny. I took my first crack at this in late December and it looked like this.
My seedings are a wee bit off but the only total miss is having Maine in the field as they are sitting at a not-so-pretty T-22 in pairwise right now and would be left out in the cold for sure as of now. So here is my second shot at it and my analysis of what our Terriers need to do coming off this loss to those Newton Cupcakes.
-Based off of current Pairwise rankings

Overall Seedings:
1. Yale
2. Newton University
3. Minnesota-Duluth
4. North Dakota
5. Merrimack
6. Denver
7. UNH
8. Michigan
9. Wisconsin
10. BU
11. Notre Dame
12. Western Michigan
13. RPI
14. Union
15. Nebraska-Omaha
16. Robert Morris

These seedings would lead to a bracket that looks like this...

East Regional (Arena@HarborYard Bridgeport,CT)

1 Yale(1) vs. 4 Robert Morris- I just don't see Yale losing enough down the stretch to lose their #1 overall seed as they play cupcakes in conference. I think they are really only like the 10th best team in the country though. They will still roll Robert Morris but so would our Intramural hockey champs.

2 Michigan vs. 3 Wisconsin- Battle of two highly talented teams..I think the winner here owns Yale and goes to the Frozen Four in St. Paul

Northeast Regional( Verizon Center, Manchester, NH)

1 North Dakota(4) vs 4 RPI
- The Fighting Sioux own these ECAC low lifes in the first round.

2. Merrihack vs. 3 Western Michigan- Merrimack surprises everyone with the highest #2 seed and #5 seed overall. I don't see them losing to Western Michigan either so they make it to a showdown with North Dakota for a chance at the frozen four.

Midwest (Resch Center, Green Bay,Wisconsin)

1 Minnesota-Duluth(3) vs 4. Union- The Connolly brothers make the clowns look silly in their first ever NCAA tournament appearance.

2 Denver vs. 3 Notre Dame- Denver makes Notre Dame look like the catholic team they are and knocks them out easily. Denver and UMD is a quite a showdown coming out of this bracket.

West( ScottTrade Center , St. Louis Missouri)-Lets get drunk!

1. Newton College(2) vs 4 Nebraska Omaha- BC gets in and gets the streakiest team in the country in the first round.

2 UNH vs 3 BU- This is a game where both teams hate BC and will do anything to get get the chance to end their season. This should be a highly contested battle but I see our Terriers sneaking it out.

Now to break down our Terriers chances to get in and what seed. I have them as a 3 seed and facing Wisconsin in the first round which isn't an ideal situation at all but it is better than being on the couch like we were this time last year. I think BU can pull together a nice run though and make it to be a 2 seed in the tournament. The only problem with this theory is it requires other teams to lose. RPI, Union, and Yale all play in the ECAC which is a joke of a conference and there are many games where they are not even challenged. That is why I see the 3 or 4 seed as a likely destination.

Many BU fans were down on the team this past week after the OT crushing to loss on Monday. It still hurts to think about. It is going to hurt when I go back to the Garden Monday to watch us play Harvard with no one in the stands. This is a defining point in BU's season though. The team can come together and play angry the rest of the way on the way to the tournament...or they can pack it in. I think last year's team packs it in. This year I am in agreemenent with Jim Connolly's article on USCHO that BU is a team to be reckoned with for the rest of the season. This is an extremely young team with enough talent to win it all. Not necessarily this year but in years to come. They are learning how to use that talent to win games right before our own eyes. They have the easiest remaining schedule in the conference with only #7 UMASS, #9 PC, #8 UVM, and #6 Northeastern remaining on the schedule. This is why we take the 3 seed in the conference.

This team will not overlook bad teams. That starts tonight with a UMASS team that got outscored 16-2 last weekend. They will be ready to play but I think our guys come out flying and bury them early. I think our Terriers finish theregular season 20-8-8 which ain't that bad despite what some of the haters on Boston Hockey blog will tell you. Those are pretty high expectations I know. Yes, I am predicting 7 wins in our last 8 games. I am giving Northeaster a tie at their place. This is because the team has no choice. Losing to the bottom of the conference is not an option. This schedule allows the Terriers to solidify third place while BC, UNH, Maine and Merrimack beat up on one another. This is a young team with a chance to get hot and make some postseason noise. I think we get to the HE tourny final by beating BC in the semifinals and then beat UNH in the finals because they ain't called university of no hardware for nothing.Mark this shit down. BU wins the HE tournment. This team has promise. In Parker we trust bitches...if you don't believe any of this shit...move to Newton you 'schmuck'(* That is trademark phrase of GW. Any other use of this phrase without his consent is prohibitied).

Terriers lose to Merrihack...prepare for BC/UNH weekend

The BU Terriers came out of the gates flying for the first and second periods but got nothing to show for it(in a 3-2 loss) and Merrimack quickly took control of both periods to gain a 3-0 lead at Lawler Arena. The Terriers came out in the third with a similar energy and got two goals in the first eight minutes to make it a game once again at 3-2. Freshman Charlie Coyle tallied the first goal while senior captain Joe Pereira knocked home his tenth of the year for the second. The team had chances after that to tie up the game but could never grab the equalizer. They never even got the chance to pull Millan as Dave Warsofsky was called for an questionable tripping call with 2:45 left where the Merrimack player seemed to take a bit of a dive. After the penalty was killed, BU couldn't gain control of the puck to mount any attack.

The game's physical nature, which was lacking without the presence of Merrihack goon Kyle Bigos, escalated quickly when freshman Terrier defenseman Adam Clendening hit Merrimack forward Joe"Dirty" Cucci into the boards where he crippled to the ice. He laid motionless for over a minute before standing up and magically skating off under his own power. I had a bit of a debate with Merrimack blogger Mike McMahon as he called the hit dirty. I was at the game with Quack the elder, GW, and felizmiguel. We all agreed that the hit was not dirty and it was boarding at worse. The refs assessed Clendening a 5 minute major and game misconduct which was irrelevant besides keeping him out of the lines for handshakes.

The aftermath got ugly as well. Merrihack leader Ryan Flanigan exchanged words with Terrier junior Dave Warsofsky in a colorful conversation for the whole rink to hear. Garrett Noonan also had an exchange as the buzzer sounded. This game hurts the Terriers chances for home ice in HE. They remain in a third place tie with Maine but the Black Bears now hold a game in hand.

This leads into the preview for this weekend as the Terriers face #3 BC Friday night at Agganis Arena and #7 UNH Saturday up in Durham. This is a big weekend for the Terriers as I feel they need two points this weekend and next weekend to stay in the hunt for the NCAA tournament and home ice in the HE tournament.

Those pretty boys from down in Newton will give us quite the test as we learned all too well from that weekend that I choose not to remember in December. Hopefully the team is ready to go on NESN in front of a soldout home crowd. There really are no reasons to not come out with energy and passion. Kieran Millan has been spectacular the last four games so expect another solid effort from him and hopefully the defense can clean up some mistakes to give the team a chance to win a huge game. This young team needs it not only for the standings but for confidence moving forward in conference play and the Beanpot next month. Here we go BU!
Look for BSRS on TV. We are going to make some great signs to get on NESN.

NCAA Hockey Tournament predictions

So I need a study break before this last final and am going to try to take a look into the future and predict the seeding and regionals for the NCAA Men's Hockey Tournament. I will try to keep my biases aside but that tends to not work out for me. Well here we go:

Note- number in parentheses next to #1 seeds indicate overall seed

East Regional (Arena@ Harboryard Bridgeport,CT)

1 Yale(4) vs. 4 Wisconsin
- I think the Badgers sneak back into the tournament even though as of now they would be out. The Kohl Center is too much of a home-ice advantage to not get on some type of run in the second half.

2 Boston(Newton) College vs. 3 Notre Dame - Nothing to build hype for a game like a battle of Catholic schools. Priests gonna be moving masses around all over America to watch this one.

Midwest( Resch Center, Green Bay, WI)

1 North Dakota(1) vs. 4 Robert Morris
- Robert Morris gets in for winning Atlantic Hockey which sucks but just how it is. Atlantic Hockey is like the NFC West of football but what you going to do? ND trounces them in the first round and take the #1 overall seed like they deserve over Yale.

2 Minnesota-Duluth vs. 3 Michigan
- A high quality first round matchup as both teams were #1 in the country at some point in the season and have alot of talent on both sides.

Northeast(Verizon Wireless Center, Manchester,NH)

1 New Hampshire(3) vs. 4 Union- I think Union sneaks into the tournament barely based on RPI but in the process knocks RPI down to a 4 seed also(See west). Yes UNH as one seed. I still don't see them getting out of Manchester but who knows? Maybe this is the year to advance a round for the University of No Hardware.

2 Miami vs. 3 Maine- The Black Bears make the tournament after a streaky season and hope to get hot against a very good Miami team before a possible fourth matchup with UNH on the season.

West(Scottrade Center, St. Louis, Missouri)

1 Denver(2) vs. 4 RPI - The Engineers make it 3 ECAC teams in the tournament this year because the national media loves them for playing cupcakes and winning. It is not what I want. I just don't see these teams losing to the Princeton's of the world to fall out of their current Pairwise spot.

2 BU vs. 3 Nebraska-Omaha- The Terriers(after a strong second half) return to the home of their IceBreaker Tournament title to play the regionals and get streaky Nebraska-Omaha in the first round.

My overall seedings for the tournament therefore look like this
1. North Dakota
2. Denver
3. UNH
4. Yale
5. BC
6. BU
7. Miami
8. Minnesota-Duluth
9. Michigan
10. Maine
11. Nebraska-Omaha
12. Notre Dame
13. Wisconsin
14. RPI
15. Union
16. Robert Morris

- There aren't too many shockers here. Someone has to come out of Atlantic Hockey or so I am told. That would mean #31 Pairwise Robert Morris right now. I refuse to make predictions on what will happen in the tournament because I could not not pick BU to win it and there is a long way for this team to grow before that is a possibility. I have to BC ahead of us right now and still think they could grab a #1 seed but Yale plays no one the rest of the way which pisses me off. They will walk to a number one seed playing no one difficult all season long. Play a Hockey East team besides lowly Vermont. Hockey East gets four teams into the tournament comfortably with Merrimack fading late when everyone catches up to their Merrihack strategy.

Also here is a piece from ESPN.COM college hockey section on each HE coach's wish list from Santa. It ain't as bad as it sounds so give it a look.

- Here is a piece from NHL.com about the BU and BC freshman and sophomores joining together on team USA to try to repeat in the World Junior Championships later this month in Buffalo,N.Y.

LETS GO

Sorry QuackQuack, didn't mean to bump your Money in the Bank post from the top, but I had to post my excitement for this game.

Being unable to watch it (fuck you, shitty cable in Keene), I'll be at my computer avidly watching the gametracker, praying.

It's time, Parker. Time to shut these fuckers up. It's time to show BC why they're ranked number 8. Time to show them what a Hockey East Championship-caliber team means. Shut up the choir boys/superfrauds/eagleboys. Make Muse skate off the ice with his head hung in shame. But most of all? Shut up that fucker Jerry York. Parker, this is your time to shine. BU's got a barely winning, but winning nonetheless record against these bastards (125-108-17), and we gotta keep that up.

Expect BC to skate hard tonight, they're coming off of a 6-0 victory against UVM, and back-to-back victories against Maine, so the momentum is flowing. BU needs to step up their offense, and be more aggressive with the puck if they want to beat the Newton pansies.

Bottom line here is this:
Fuck 'em up, fuck 'em up, BC SUCKS

Just remember this from Coach Brooks. It's time to get pumped, Terriers. It's time.

Will everyone just listen to me next time? BC sucks part 2!

First, on an educated note, USCHO.COM published a piece on their hockey east blog about how up and down a season BC is having so far. Hmmm...I think I heard someone say that before the season. Oh yeah it was me right here. I said directly:
" This is especially tough at big time hockey schools as was way too evident for us last year. I can already predict how this season will go for the choir boys down the road...they will be extremely inconsistent. They will not stay one for long because they are a bunch of pansy ass little fucks who think the world should bow down to them because they do to that to priests everyday and call it theology class."

Now everyone is realizing the great QuackQuack was right again with BC#8 in the country due to inconsistent play and BU rising in the ranks even though I still hate how high ranked we are right now. Now let's taka look at what the HE blog on USCHO said today and compare the two shall we?

"Good games are followed by bad games which are followed by good games...
Head coach Jerry York says that the major problem has been players not bringing a solid effort each and every night."

Woah woah. Was I right on or what? Imagine how much money I would have made if there was a line on this happening. I would be even richer than I already am. Here is something USCHO kept making me put in so you clowns know I'm not stealing their words without giving props or some shit. It is the same link as I already posted so they can relax.

Oh yeah here are reasons 13-20 why I hate Boston College
13. They left the Big East hanging when they bolted for the ACC. TCU is better anyway so suck it.
14. They are a college not a university aka they suck big time. Everyone knows that colleges suck just look at HE. Merrimack-sucks, Providence-sucks, everyone else-doesnt suck as much except UNH but might as well call them the rolling college of hicks because their houses are on wheels.
15. They were on ESPNU tonight for hoops and they beat Indiana yet the place was like 1/4 empty. Get some true fans plus half of the ones there were only there because it was the Big Ten/ACC challenge and the game was on TV. Wait until the games against Clemson in January that has 6 people in the stands.
16. Their whole fan event for the game Saturday is about selling tickets to each other. How about you talk about the fucking game?
17. They hit the T and now we have to take a shuttle bus to the game Saturday due to the construction. Ok I think i made this up but still.
18. their student newpaper publishes articles about how they are above drinking Four Loko because they are "classy" and should drink natty light instead.
19. They are a bunch of arrogant fucks.
20. They think they can actually make noise when they come up the game Friday and won't get drowned out...I think not.

LETS GET LOUD!

Why I Hate Boston College Part 1

I worked today and no one shops on Newbury Street in November so it left me alot of time to think. My parents should stop reading here and assume I was thinking of my studies. Let's get real it's BC week. I hate those choir boys with a passion. They walk around like the arrogant fucks that they are. They think God is on their side or that is what the priest told them all before he continued "Religion class"(read: inappropriate touching). So without further wait. The first 11 of many reasons why BC sucks. I'll probably keep this going everyday and see how many I can get up to. Feel free to add more in the comments section of this post.
1. They call themselves Boston College and are actually in Newton. Fuck this. Don't give the great city of Boston a bad name you pompous fucks.
2. They take up a spot in the Beanpot meant for Boston schools. Denver has as much of a right to plan in the beanpot as you. Let's start the UMASS-Boston rally to get them in.
3. They are arrogant fucks. Whenever this weekend you begin to think someone crossed the line with a chant just remember they think they're better than you.
4. Their priest touched them as little children. That's why they go to catholic school.
5. Jerry York wears sweaters to hockey games. Maybe they are sweater vests. Either way they are fucking stupid. You're not playing 18 holes York. That will be in April while we re bring home #6.
6. Ole' Muse you're gay!- Not that there is anything wrong with that of course.
7. Their fans are superfrauds! They only go to games on national TV or when the teams are good. Fucking bandwagoners.
8. Bald Eagles almost went extinct. You ever hear about Terriers almost going extinct? Exactly, because Terriers are fucking awesome and man's best friend. You know any eagles who are a man's best friend?
9. Their AD is a fucking idiot. - He thinks every coach ever should want to coach there and never want to leave until they are fired.
10. They drink, they drive, they run away and hide. Poor green line gets blame for Bc kids deciding to go for joy drunk rides in the T tracks then blames the MBTA driver. I don't know the driver but they should light the school on fire.
11. They pay taxes as if they are in Newton(which they are) but claim Boston in their title. Cheap bastards need to pay or change the name to Newton College.

-I got plenty more where that came from but I will save some for my fellow bloggers and readers who are bored enough to comment on this
